rich text editori tool. Click the increase indent iconi to indent the text at the current cursor position.

--Insert horizontal line icon

rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert horizontal line" icon to place a horizontal line across the content area at the cursor's current position. This is helpful for separating parts of the text.

--Insert Smiley icon

rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert Smiley" icon to open a small window with emoticons or "smileys." Click the emoticon you would like to insert at the cursor's current position. This will insert the actual image. There are a number of other emoticons above each rich text editor. Click on those to insert the text representation of an emoticon, or simply type the text representation of the emoticon. Once the content is submitted, it will translate back to the image version of the emoticon.

--Insert special character icon

rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert special character" icon to open a new box that contains custom characters, such as trademark, copyright, and ampersand symbols. Mouse-over the symbols for a preview on the right of the box, and click the symbol you would like to place it in the text at the cursor's current position.

--Insert Teaser Break icon

rich text editori tool. Click this icon to insert a teaser break. This will separate the top part of your content, which is considered the summary or teaser, from the bottom part, which is your main content. We use the summary or teaser when automatically sending your content to social bookmarking and networking sites, so this icon is very useful for making your submissions easier. Uncheck the "Show summary in full view" checkbox if you do not want tthe summary or teaser to appear at the top of your actual content page.

--Insert/edit flash

rich text editori tool. Click this icon to bring up a new window where you can enter the URL of a YouTube video, or other flash item from a site that offers flash videos and widgets. Click the upload tab at the top of the pop up window to upload your own flash video or other flash.

--insert/edit image

rich text editori tool. Place the cursor where you would like to insert an image (or click on a current image you would like to edit), then click the insert/edit imagei icon. If you already have an image from another site you would like to use, paste the URL of that image into the Image URL box. If you would like to upload an image from your computer, click the Browse Server button to the right of the Image URL box. Click the Browse button to find the image on your computer. Once you find the image, click on it and press the Open button. Then press the Upload button. This will create a directory for you with all of your uploaded images, so they may be reused when creating other content. Click on the image you would like to insert, and click the Insert link next to the option you would like to use. If you choose the Insert link at the top, next to the Original option, the original version of the image will be inserted. There are also options for half-size, grayscale, and other options. This will take you back to the Insert/edit image box, with a preview of the image. You may change the size and alignment if you wish. Click the Insert button to insert the image.

--insert/edit link icon

rich text editori tool. Highlight the text you would like to link to another webpage (or highlight a current link you would like to edit), then click the insert/edit link iconi. Put the URL of the webpage to which you would like to link in the Link URL box (you can get the link by going to the webpage, then copying URL from the URL bar). You may ignore the other boxes if you wish. Click the Insert button to turn the highlighted text into a link. You will not be able to click the link until the content is submitted.

--Insert/Edit table icon

rich text editori tool. Click the "Insert/Edit table iconi" to insert a table at the cursor's current location within your content. A new box will open. Cols are the number of columns you would like in your table, and Rows are the number of rows. Cols and Rows are the only required options.

Cellpadding and Cellspacing add padding between cells of the column, and spacing between the cells, respectively. Alignment is how to align the table (on the Left of the page, the Right, or Centered). The Border is the width of the visible border around the table. Put 0 for no border. The Width and Height are the width and height of the table, in pixels. A percentage can be used for the width, and represents the percentage of the width of the entire content area. For example, if you put 100, and choose percent from the drop-down, the table will match the width of your content area. Type in a caption to include a caption area at the top of the table. Type in a summary to show a summary area at the bottom of the table.

Click the Insert button to insert the table. When your table is placed, it will take the least amount of space possible until you enter text into the cells, unless you specified a Width for your table.

--Insert/remove bulleted list icon

rich text editori tool. Click the Insert/remove bulleted list iconi to turn the text at the current cursor position into a list item. This will indent the text, and place a small dot at the beginning. Press the enter key on your keyboard at the end of a line to add a new list item.

--Insert/remove numbered list icon

rich text editori tool. Click the Insert/remove numbered list iconi to turn the text at the current cursor position into an automatically numbered list item. This will indent the text, and place a number at the beginning. Press the enter key on your keyboard at the end of a line to add a new list item.

rich text editori tool. highlight the text you wish to change into italic text, then click on the italic iconi.
